February 5th, 2026: the punishment, eternal lent, victims be clear

  • mood: coldie
  • listening: my man sleepin' noises

I'm doing a lot better physically. my feet are looking so good. like I'm really not tryna flex but they are so much better. the toenails are nice and straight now, and I've been making sure to exfoliate and moisturize them so they're supple. I really never want to have bad feet again. like once you have bad feet you never forget it. my kid has been having a lot of problems with her feet lately. she has plantar fibromatosis. I feel so bad for her. hopefully we can get her situation dealt with soon. like I feel bad having good feet when my kid currently does not. I wish every bad thing that has happened and could ever happen to my child happened to me instead. that's just how it is when you have a kid. it hurts way more to watch them suffer than to suffer yourself.

it's so interesting to think of how much 2020s fashion is interested by the pandemic, political turmoil, and poverty. this is so clearly reflected in our trends. I'm bringing this up because one of the next articles I want to do for Substack is about dopamine projects for knitting and crochet, which are low-commitment, low-energy, low-time projects that come together super quickly so that you can start-and-end them fast and get quick satisfaction from completing them. think: vanilla socks, legwarmers, armwarmers, bandanas, hats, etc. as opposed to, say, sweaters, cardigans, etc. I'm currently making The Country Brat a pair of cute legwarmers--don't tell her but they're also the prototypes lol so my pair will be for bugfixing--that are basically granny squares sewn together to create legwarmers. I also have some leftover artisanal yarn that I can turn into a handkerchief. knit and crochet (crochet especially) so hit the fashion scene this decade because it's something we can do at home. I love that. I so genuinely love that.

so I solved my problem of too much Facebook as well. I put a Surfpal strictest restriction on it and now I can only use it for 15 minutes each day or it wastes $19 to get more. perfect.

idk it's weird bc I've been really stressed lately for personal life reasons I'm not gonna get into on here, but I'm also genuinely having such a good time these days now that my feet are healed. idk if anyone else does this but do y'all do baby time? like, literally, you just channel your inner child. eat nuggies and fries. watch shows like Nanalan'. hang out w stuffies. I've been tryna do that more these days so that I can have a safe place to escape from my stress and responsibilities. try it sometime.
